This bottling of a Slyrs Bavarian Single Malt, an original distillery bottling, was produced especially for Oktoberfest 2025. The whisky was matured in American white oak casks, finished in ex-beer casks and bottled in 2025.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
