Informations: This single-cask bottling of a 28-year-old Asbach brandy was produced as a vintage brandy; it was distilled in 1972 and bottled in 2000 in a run of 717 individually numbered bottles.

Distillery: Asbach: Asbach GmbH goes back to Hugo Asbach and the year 1892, when he founded an export company for German cognac in Rüdesheim am Rhein. The best-known brand is Asbach Uralt, but the brandy chocolates introduced in 1924 are also known worldwide.
Country: Germany: As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
