This single-cask bottling of a 14-year-old Caol Ila single malt was produced by the independent bottler Exklusive Malts Filderstadt as the Second Edition in the Bareiss Edition series. The whisky was distilled in 2007, matured in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled in 2021 in a run of 140 bottles.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
