This bottling of a cuvée comprising partly very old brandies, named ‘Essence of the Grape 2025’, was produced as a private club bottling by slowdrink.de / Regensburg Whisky & Wine Club.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
