This single-cask bottling of a 23-year-old Bowmore single malt was produced by the independent bottler Murray McDavid as part of the Mission Gold range. The whisky was distilled in 2001, finished for 15 years in an ex-port cask, and bottled in 2024 in a run of 876 bottles.
The distillery was founded in 1779, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It is located on the shore of Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay, the warehouses are directly on the sea, partly below sea level.
