This single-cask bottling of a 17-year-old Caol Ila single malt was produced by the independent bottler Best Dram. The whisky was distilled in 2008, matured in a first-fill ex-Amontillado sherry hogshead, and was bottled at cask strength in 2025 in a run of 262 bottles.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
