This single cask bottling of a 31-year-old Karuizawa single malt was produced by the independent bottler Number One Drinks Company as part of the Noh Whisky series. The whisky was distilled in 1981, matured in an ex-sherry cask and bottled in 2012 in a run of 186 bottles.
Karuizawa was a distillery in Miyota, Japan, which was founded in 1955. It was one of the smallest distilleries in Japan, was mothballed in 2000 and finally closed in 2011.
