This single cask bottling of a Caol Ila single malt by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage was produced in the Single Cask Seasons series as a Winter Edition 2018. The whisky was distilled in 2009, matured in a refill ex-sherry butt and was bottled in 2019 with 687 individually numbered bottles.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
