Informations: This bottling of a North British Single Grain was produced by independent bottler Robert Scott & Co., Rutherglen, as part of the Scotts Selection series. The whisky was distilled in 1974 and bottled at cask strength in 1999.

Distillery: North British: North British is a distillery in Edinburgh, Scotland, which was founded in 1885 by the North British Distillery Company, an association of blenders. The distillery remained independent until 1983 and is now part of the Edrington Group and Diageo. The capacity is currently 1,250,000 litres per week, using three Coffey stills.
Country: Scotland: Scotland and Scotch whisky is a global trend, a development that has led to a flourishing whisky scene in Scotland. There is hardly a week that goes by in which there is no news about another new distillery being built or the reopening of a distillery that has been closed for a long time.

Scotland, together with Ireland, is today considered the motherland of whisky, whose roots there go back to around 1500 AD.
