Informations: This single cask bottling of a Shizuoka single malt from Japan was produced for the Japanese spirits distributor Shinanoya. This whisky was partially distilled in the last remaining pot still of the Karuizawa distillery. It was distilled in 2017, matured in an ex-bourbon cask, and bottled at cask strength in 2023 in a limited edition of 197 individually numbered bottles.

Distillery: Shizuoka: Shizuoka is a distillery in Japan founded by Gaia Flow in 2017. The distillery previously used by the legendary Karuizawa distillery, which was dismantled in 2011, was brought back to life there.
Country: Japan: The whisky from Japan is like its makers. At first glance, reserved, respectful and polite. On closer inspection, however, enormously profound and multi-layered. Japanese whisky is the result of perfected craftsmanship. Many whiskies from Japan carry exotic fruity aromas and a floral bouquet in front of them.
