This single cask bottling of a 20-year-old Caol Ila single malt was produced by independent bottler Kingsbury from Aberdeen as part of its Celtic Series. The whisky was distilled in 1996, matured in an ex-rum cask and bottled at cask strength in 2016 with 202 individually numbered bottles.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
