This single cask bottling of a Bowmore single malt was produced by independent bottler Wemyss Malts and given the nickname Aniseed Pastille. The whisky was distilled in 1996, matured in a hogshead and bottled in 2014 in 344 bottles.
The distillery was founded in 1779, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It is located on the shore of Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay, the warehouses are directly on the sea, partly below sea level.
