Informations: This bottling of a 10-year-old Glenallachie single malt as an original bottling of the distillery was produced in the Wine Series as a Grattamacco Wine Cask Finish. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks, received a finish in ex-wine casks and was bottled in 2023.

Distillery: Glenallachie: Glenallachie is a distillery near Aberlour, Banffshire, Scotland, which was founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson Ltd. There was no production between 1985 and 1989, and Campbell Distillers (Pernod Ricard) took over the distillery in 1989. Since 2017, it has been owned by a consortium around Billy Walker and trades as The GlenAllachie Distillers Company.
Region: Speyside: The Speyside lies in the north-east of the Highlands and is considered the centre of Scotland's whisky production. Around the towns of Elgin, Rothes, Keith and Dufftown there are more distilleries than anywhere else in Scotland, including big names such as Glenfarclas, Glenlivet, Macallan and many more.

Elegance and complexity are often cited as characteristic features of Speyside malts, but the variety of whiskies produced here is too great to speak of a single style.
