Informations: This bottling of a North Port-Brechin single malt was produced by the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail in the Connoisseurs Choice series. The whisky was distilled in 1981 and bottled in 1998.

Distillery: North Port: North Port was a distillery in the town of Brechin, Angus, Scotland, founded in 1820 by David Guthrie. It has belonged to Distiller Company Ltd. (DCL) since 1922, was closed in 1983 and demolished in 1990.
Country: Scotland: Scotland and Scotch whisky is a global trend, a development that has led to a flourishing whisky scene in Scotland. There is hardly a week that goes by in which there is no news about another new distillery being built or the reopening of a distillery that has been closed for a long time.

Scotland, together with Ireland, is today considered the motherland of whisky, whose roots there go back to around 1500 AD.
