This spirit bottling, produced by Wagemut / Nicolas Kröger and named ‘PX-Cask’, is based on a rum from Barbados which is finished in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks in Germany.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
