This single-cask bottling of a Bowmore single malt was produced by the independent bottler Barrique GmbH, based in Groß Lobke, as part of The Single Single Scotch Malt Whisky Collection. The whisky was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2009 in a run of 285 individually numbered bottles.
The distillery was founded in 1779, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It is located on the shore of Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay, the warehouses are directly on the sea, partly below sea level.
