This single-cask bottling of a Bowmore single malt was produced by the independent bottler Jack Wiebers as part of the ‘Wanted’ series; the cask in question is known as ‘Little Big Horn Brothers’. The whisky was distilled in 1996, matured in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength in a run of 200 bottles.
The distillery was founded in 1779, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It is located on the shore of Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay, the warehouses are directly on the sea, partly below sea level.
