This single cask bottling of a meter malt whisky, an original bottling from the distillery, was produced as the Sodom Edition 2025 / The Arsonist. The whisky was distilled in 2018, matured in an ex-bourbon cask, and bottled in 2025.
Fesslermill 1396 and the Fessler Mill in Sersheim an der Metter have been in existence for over 600 years, producing various brandies as well as Mettermalt whisky.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
