This single cask bottling of an 8-year-old Caol Ila single malt was produced by the independent bottler Asta Morris from Belgium especially for the Wu Dram Clan. The whisky was distilled in 2011, matured in an ex-bourbon cask, and bottled at cask strength in 2019 in a run of 262 individually numbered bottles.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
