The whisky was distilled in 2022, matured in an ex-port wine cask and was bottled at cask strength in 2026 in a run of 110 individually numbered bottles.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
