This single cask bottling of a single malt called Sylter Haven Whisky was produced by Sylt Distillers GmbH. The whisky was distilled in 2018, matured in a first-fill ex-Amarone cask on the island of Sylt and was bottled in 2025 with 180 individually numbered bottles.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
