This single cask bottling of a 23 year old Caol Ila single malt was produced by the independent bottler Wilson & Morgan in the Barrel Selection series, a heavy wooden box was chosen as packaging. The whisky was distilled in 1984, matured in cask no. 3131 and bottled in 2008.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
