As a licensed bottling, the bottle features a label designed to resemble the distillery's original labels. The whisky was distilled in 1960 and bottled in 2008.

Founded in 1786, it is one of the oldest distilleries still in production in the Highlands, and its buildings are listed. After several changes of name and ownership, it is now owned by Pernod Ricard.
