This bottling of Johnnie Walker Black Label was produced under the name Directors Cut in collaboration with Denis Villeneuve as a tribute to his film Blade Runner 2049. The whisky was bottled in 2017.
Johnnie Walker is probably the worlds best-known brand of blended Scotch whisky, founded by the general dealer John Walker in 1820 in Kilmarnock in Ayrshire, not far from Scotlands west coast. The result of lengthy experiments was finally a blended whisky, which was offered as Walkers Old Highland from 1865.
