This bottling of a 14-year-old Caol Ila single malt was produced by the independent bottler North Star Spirits Ltd. of Glasgow as part of their Obscurities & Curiosities series. The whisky was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2025.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
