This single cask bottling of a 12-year-old Kilchoman single malt, an original bottling from the distillery, was produced as part of the 100% Islay series (only malt from Islay is used). The whisky is unpeated, was distilled in 2012, matured in an ex-sherry butt and was bottled in 2024 with 662 individually numbered bottles.
Kilchoman was founded in 2005 and is the westernmost distillery in Islay and the only distillery on Islay that is not located directly by the sea. Its name comes from an old church whose ruins lie on picturesque Machir Bay. Kilchoman is one of the few distilleries that still malt parts of their malt themselves.
