This single cask bottling of a 15-year-old Caol Ila single malt was produced by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail in the Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series as batch 20/093. The whisky was distilled in 2005, matured in a first-fill ex-sherry butt and bottled in 2020 in 637 bottles.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
