This bottling is the fourteenth Signature Edition from St. Kilian. The whisky was distilled between 2017 and 2021, matured in six different types of casks from France, and bottled in 4,260 bottles in 2024.
The St. Kilian distillery is located in the municipality of Rüdenau and has been producing its single malt whisky there since 2016. As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
