This single cask bottling of a Millstone Dutch Single Malt from the Zuidam Distillery was produced in the Dutch Tulip Collection as Edition No. 1 especially for Kirsch Import. The whisky was distilled in 2017, matured in a first-fill ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry butt and was bottled at cask strength in 2023 with 625 individually numbered bottles.
As of 2017, there are already more than 150 distilleries in Germany producing German whisky. Most distilleries produce clear brandies and use whisky production as a niche and side business. Whisky output is at a very low level of sometimes only a few thousand bottles a year depending on the distillery.
