This bottling of an 11-year-old Caol Ila single malt was produced in collaboration with the German heavy metal band Powerwolf. The whisky was distilled in 2008, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled in 250 individually numbered bottles.
Caol Ila means Sound of Islay and derives from the location of the distillery directly on the strait. Founded in 1846 and renovated from the ground up in 1974, it produces a mid-range Islay whisky.
