Ron Zapaca is produced in the small town of Zacapa in Guatemala by Licorera Zacapaneca from sugar cane juice and is stored in oak barrels (mostly ex-bourbon but not only) at an altitude of 2300 metres. The classic Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 was created in 1976 to celebrate the town's 100th anniversary.
